Medium-term goals include a recruitment campaign to hire more mechanics and bus operators through targeted ad campaigns and on-site events. It also includes electric bus procurement to replace OC Transpo’s aging diesel fleet, but delivery of e-buses won’t be completed until late 2027, Charter said. Currently, there are 36 electric buses in service, and an additional 234 will be added to the fleet by the end of 2026.
