OC Transpo warned customers on Thursday of slower service on Line 2 for much of the day..

Transit boss Renée Amilcar said in a memo that Trillium Line 2 is experiencing “switch issues” at South Keys Station.

The problem has prompted OC Transpo to put one of two platforms out of service, forcing travellers to change trains at South Keys.

“It is anticipated this will continue for the rest of the service day,” the memo said.

“This is a known issue with this switch that TransitNext was unable to resolve during the overnight hours yesterday.”

Amilcar said that TransitNext “will continue the repairs tonight after service concludes.”

Line 2 is otherwise operating at its routine stations, and Lines 1 and 4 are operating normally.
