A man was killed Monday evening in the city’s Bayshore neighbourhood.
Police and paramedics received a call at 6:45 p.m. from the area of Penny Drive, not far from the intersection of Carling Avenue and Richmond Road.
There, they found a person with life-threatening stab wounds, according to the paramedic service.
“Paramedics attempted to stabilize his condition on scene and during his transport to hospital,” Ottawa paramedic spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps said. “When he arrived at the hospital, he was in critical condition.”
At the hospital, the man succumbed to his wounds.
Police are withholding the man’s name while they notify his next of kin.
Police said one person was in custody.
