Each conservation authority has a different geography, McIntyre said. South Nation, for example tends to be flat and has a lot of agricultural land and unstable soils. Landslides are a concern. Mississippi Valley, on the other hand, is lake and forest country, mostly bedrock, with policies aligning to that kind of geography.
