The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a body was found in the Ottawa River in the Clarence-Rockland area Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of a body in the water in the Dallaire Street area at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, according to a news release.
The OPP said there is no threat to public safety at this time. Police said they do not know the person’s identity, and officers are trying to determine who the person is.
The Russell County crime unit will be investigating under the direction of various OPP units.
