The 97th Academy Awards, which took place Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, was one of the most wide-open races in recent memory.
The awards ceremony was hosted for the first time by the American comedian and TV host Conan O’Brien. It occurred just weeks after a series of devastating wildfires tore through Southern California.
