The 98th Academy Awards are being held Sunday evening at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with comedian Conan O’Brien set to emcee the event for the second year in a row.
The ceremony marks the culmination of a months-long awards season that many expected to be a coronation for the black comedy thriller “One Battle After Another,” but which has narrowed in recent weeks into a competitive, two-horse race between Paul Thomas Anderson’s acclaimed film and Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners.” Coogler’s movie, a southern vampire epic starring Michael B. Jordan, enters the evening with 16 nominations, the most for any work in Academy history. “Sinners” can become the most awarded film of all time at the Oscars if it can pick up 12 statuettes. It is, however, expected to face stiff competition from “One Battle After Another,” which received the second-most nominations this year, with 13 nods.
Here’s a full list of the nominees in all 24 categories. Follow along for an updated list of winners throughout the awards ceremony on Sunday evening.
