An upcoming matchup between the PWHL’s
Ottawa Charge
and the Montreal Victoire could shape up to be a
heated rivalry
in more ways than one.
The Charge recently took to social media saying they have “some space saved” for
Heated Rivalry
co-stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams at the April 3 game at the
Canadian Tire Centre
.
“I was gonna ask you … Will you come to CTC on April 3?” the post asks, a nod to the well-known scene from the hit Canadian TV series where Williams’ Shane Hollander asks Storrie’s Ilya Rozanov to join him at the cottage.
“Don’t go to Montreal,” the post continues. “Come to the powerhouse, we’ll have so much fun. We can have a night with all of our Charge fans … together.”

While many fans have applauded the team’s playful effort to invite the Heated Rivalry stars to the game, there’s been no indication of whether the actors will actually attend.
Still, the Ottawa-Montreal showdown on April 3 may be one the co-stars want to watch closely, as it could mirror storylines in upcoming seasons of the show.
In
Heated Rivalry
’s first season, Hollander plays for Montreal while Rozanov suits up for Boston. But all signs point to an Ottawa-Montreal rivalry becoming the central plot point in the show’s second season.
The final episodes of season one hint at Rozanov potentially seeking a trade to Ottawa, bringing him closer to Hollander while also supporting his pursuit of Canadian citizenship.
Mayor Mark Sutcliffe is even
getting in on the excitement
and declared Jan. 29 Shane Hollander Day in Ottawa, as Canada’s capital city is where the fictional Hollander was born and raised.
Although Storrie and Hudson have yet to publicly attend a PWHL game, they’ve already connected with the women’s hockey league in other ways.
After Storrie participated in a Saturday Night Live skit alongside Olympic gold medallists and PWHL players Hilary Knight and Megan Keller, both actors were gifted PWHL jerseys with their names on the back.
While the Ottawa Charge typically plays its home games at TD Place at Lansdowne, the team will play its only game this season — and second match all-time — at the Ottawa Senators’ Canadian Tire Centre on April 3.
The game may serve to
test the appeal of the Kanata venue
for the Charge fan base, as talks between the PWHL and the Senators could see the Charge playing home games at the Canadian Tire Centre in upcoming seasons.
Senators president Cyril Leeder told reporters last week that tickets for the game were already “selling really well.”
More than
11,000 fans were in attendance
the last time the Charge played at the Canadian Tire Centre on Dec. 6, 2024, losing 2-1 to the Victoire.
