Ottawa firefighters were called to a fire at a Guigues Avenue residential home under construction on Tuesday evening.
Ottawa Fire Services took multiple 911 calls just after 6:30 p.m. about a house on fire in the 100 block of Guigues, and, after arriving at the scene, crews confirmed the two-storey structure had smoke showing from all four sides of the roof line.
Additional resources were dispatched and a “fast attack” was started, with a hose line being moved into the home.
By 7:21 p.m., the fire was deemed to be under control.
Two full searches of the building were conducted and no people were found inside, the fire service said in a news release Tuesday.
Victim Services was sent to the scene. An Ottawa Fire Services investigator also went to the location to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
