Ottawa firefighters used specialized equipment to safely extricate a person following a two-car crash Sunday morning.
They were called by police at about 9 a.m. following a crash at Templeford Avenue and Tabaret Street in Kanata.
One of the vehicles had rolled onto its side with an occupant trapped inside.
Crews stabilized the vehicle and, using specialized hydraulic tools, freed the driver by about 9:04 a.m.
Firefighters spread absorbent on leaking fluids and cleared debris from the roadway before leaving the scene.
Paramedics transported two people with minor injuries to hospital.
