Ottawa man, 63, charged with child-luring offences

A 63-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with child-luring offences, the Ottawa Police Service announced Thursday.

In a news release, the OPS said a search of a residence in south Ottawa on Feb. 17 had led to charges of making sexually explicit materials available to a person under age 16 and communicating with a person under age 16 against James R. Walker.

believed there could be other victims, saying Walker had used the following usernames online:

  • WalkingMyDogOtt
  • ottmale69
  • WalkingMyDog
  • a10-4rubbyducky

The investigation is ongoing, police said. Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5660. Tips may also be sent electronically to
