A 44-year-old Ottawa man sought by a number of area police forces was arrested this week in North Grenville by provincial police and faces drug trafficking charges.
The OPP began an investigation in late 2025 into the sale of cocaine in areas across Leeds and Grenville, south of Ottawa.
On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a motel on Highway 43 and two people were arrested without incident.
Police seized more than 167 grams of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine. They also seized more than $5,000 in cash, nearly 20 canisters of bear spray, a spiked bat and other items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Brian Workman, 44, of Ottawa and Alexis Levere, age 21 of North Dundas Township have each been charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Workman was also wanted on arrest warrants by two other police services.
Both of the accused have been remanded in custody.
North Grenville is about 60 km south of Ottawa.
