Ottawa police arrested a man in connection with two stabbings after an altercation broke out in east Ottawa.
On July 12, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 200 block of Bareille Snow Street, located in Rothwell Heights.
The three individuals were “consuming alcohol” together when the altercation occurred. The suspect allegedly stabbed both victims and then fled the scene before being located and arrested a short time later.
“Paramedics treated both victims at the scene,” police said. “They were then transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
Patrick Drezler, 29, is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon; and one count of possession of a weapon and failure to comply with a release order.
