Ottawa police investigating two suspicious fires

The Ottawa police are investigating two suspicious fires that occurred Sunday morning.

The Arson and Explosion Section is investigating after the first fire started at 9:33 a.m. in the 1700 block of Belcourt Boulevard, followed by the second one at 10:49 a.m. in the 2300 block of Cleroux Crescent.

No injuries were reported in either fire, police said in a news release Monday, adding that the fires did not appear to be connected.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents or who has information that could help investigators was asked to call 613-236-1222, extension 2202, or get in contact via email at [email protected] . Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca .
