Ottawa police look for help as they try to ID commercial robbery suspects

The Ottawa police hope the public can help them identify two suspects after a commercial robbery occurred Jan. 2 on Strandherd Drive.

At about 6:23 p.m., two men, one carrying a firearm, entered a business in the 4000 block of Strandherd and forced the clerk to access the vault, police said in a news release Monday.

The two made off with “a large quantity of technology”, police said.

 The Ottawa police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects after a commercial robbery on Jan. 2 in the 4000 block of Strandherd Drive.

Suspect 1 was described as white and in his 30s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood and black pants, police said.

Suspect 2 was described as white. At the time of the incident, police said he was wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, black pants and a grey mask covering his face.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to contact the OPS Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116.
