Ottawa paramedics say an adult woman was stabbed in College Square on Wednesday afternoon.
At 1:35 p.m., Ottawa police received several calls regarding the incident that occurred in the 1900 block of Baseline Road. A suspect was arrested at the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital.
“She was stabilized by paramedics and taken to the hospital in critical condition,”
Ottawa paramedics
said.
Police
said there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
“There is no active threat to public safety,” they said.
