More than six years after the
disappearance of Corey Baldwin
, Ottawa police announced they are now investigating the case as a homicide. Police say they are offering $75,000 to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
Baldwin was reportedly last seen in the Montreal area in April 2019, and investigators believe he may have travelled to British Columbia before he was reported missing in December 2019.
Citing an ongoing investigation, police did not release details as to why the case is being treated as a homicide, but confirmed that his remains have not been located.
An earlier news release described Baldwin as a white man, five-foot-10, 232 pounds, bald with grey-blue eyes. He was described as having multiple tattoos on both arms, legs and back.
Baldwin lived in Greely and would not have left his two young daughters without an explanation, an April 2024 news release stated.
“Corey’s family, including his two daughters, have waited years for answers. The OPS is committed to finding those responsible and bringing closure to his loved ones,” police wrote in a release Wednesday.
