Ottawa police seeking to ID suspect from LRT station altercation

The Ottawa Police Service has released photos of a man it is trying to identify in connection with an altercation at Rideau Station on the LRT system in mid-April.

In a news release on June 18, the OPS said the verbal and physical incident occurred near the LRT station at Rideau and William streets at about 6 p.m. on April 16.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-to-late 40s with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he wore a black three-quarter-length jacket and beige khaki pants and carried a brown shoulder bag.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Hate and Bias Crime Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2653. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppers.ca.
