“Any future development proposal on any part of these lands would require a detailed planning process, including public consultation, to determine the suitability of land use, density, layout, and other planning specifics,” said Girard-Ruel, who noted that important portions of the Lower Rivergate Corridor, including the significant natural heritage features and greenspace that encompasses the forest and riverfront, are intended for ongoing protection.
