A person suffered serious injuries Sunday after being ejected from a vehicle in a rollover on Highway 15 near County Road 5.
The Leeds County OPP detachment is investigating what was believed to be a single-vehicle crash, police said on X Sunday afternoon.
At first, the OPP thought a second occupant of the vehicle might be missing, but later updated their post to say the person had been located safe at home.
In a second update, police said the injured person had suffered “life-altering injuries”.
Highway 15 remained closed Sunday evening. Police said it would be a prolonged road closure and that charges were pending.
The Highway 15 and County Road 5 intersection is located between Smiths Falls and Portland.
