A 19-year-old Petawawa man faces a list of charges after provincial police were called Thursday on reports of a “possibly impaired driver” allegedly waving a handgun in a parking lot.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP said in a release Friday that officers located the vehicle shortly after 6 p.m. and initiated a “high-risk traffic stop” on Doran Road in Petawawa.
Police recovered an imitation firearm in the arrest.
No injuries were reported.
The man was released on a promise to appear in Pembroke court April 21 on charges under the Criminal Code, alcohol and cannabis control laws and Highway Traffic Act.
