Police asking for public’s help in locating missing 26-year-old woman

Ottawa Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman last seen in the area of 500 Smythe Road.

Dezzi Kakepetum is a 26-year-old Indigenous woman. She was last seen around 1:15 p.m. on April 16.

Kakepetum is five feet, five inches tall with a medium build and long black hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie, black jacket, black shoes with white soles and hoop earrings.

Anyone with information about Kakepetum’s whereabouts is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
