Police investigating after tow truck catches on fire in Scarborough

Toronto police are investigating a fire that engulfed a tow truck and another vehicle in flames on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Markham Road and McNicoll Avenue in Scarborough at approximately 6:46 a.m.

Police say the fire started with the tow truck and then a second vehicle next to it caught on fire. No injuries were reported.

The cars were sprayed with water and the fire was eventually put out.

Investigators are still working to determine if the fire was intentionally set. No other details were provided.
