Rogers internet down in eastern Ottawa, repairs delayed

Rogers internet users in Embrun, Russell, Orleans and Gloucester are experiencing outages on Wednesday morning.

According to the Rogers website, the outage was caused by a vandalized fibre cable.

It is unclear how many people are affected, but Rogers said repairs are delayed. Technicians are on site to repair the cut cables, the website said as of 8:45 a.m.

Rogers had first said the issue would be resolved by 7 a.m.
