Saskatchewan NDP motion to scrap gas tax fails in legislature as sitting begins

REGINA – A Saskatchewan Opposition NDP emergency motion to suspend the provincial 15-cents-a-litre gas tax has failed in the legislature.

NDP Leader Carla Beck says the decision of the governing Saskatchewan Party to block the motion shows Premier Scott Moe is out of touch with cost-of-living pressures facing residents.
