A ‘serious’ water main break snarled morning traffic, closing eastbound Baseline Road at Fisher Avenue on Tuesday morning.
Crews scrambled to make quick work of the repairs, but there was no timeline on when the road would reopen. The city hopes it can have the fix done in time for the evening rush hour.
“This is a serious situation,” Coun. Riley Brockington posted on BlueSky. “It appears Baseline, Eastbound, will remain closed for several hours. The road has been compromised.”
“The city is aiming to have the repair completed to reopen the road by PM peak,” he said.
