Sheep farms shear their animals normally once a year, and Saturday was the day for that to occur in 2025 at The Log Farm on Cedarview Road in Ottawa.

The day’s public events at the historical farm site were scheduled to include a discussion about sheep, wool and sheep handling.

General thinking is that sheep are shorn once a year — often at the start of the warmest season — to help them maintain a healthy wool coat.

Here is a collection of photos from Saturday’s presentation at The Log Farm.
