A small plane has crashed near Ottawa International Airport with three people aboard.
Paramedic spokesman Marc-Antoine Deschamps says they were called just before 6 p.m. about a plane that had crashed into a tree.
He says it took “significant effort” by emergency responders to get the people out of the aircraft.
Deschamps says two of the occupants were taken to hospital but are expected to survive.
He said he could not release any information about the third occupant.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has sent investigators to the scene.
