Don’t put the shovel away just yet.
Environment Canada has issued another special weather statement for the capital, with five to 12 cm of snow expected beginning Saturday afternoon.
The agency cautions motorists to expect reduced visibility on area roads.
There’s also a risk of freezing rain in the forecast.
“An Alberta Clipper will spread snow across the region … reaching eastern Ontario later this evening,” the agency says.
“The snow may become mixed with freezing rain or freezing drizzle tonight before coming to an end Sunday morning.”
