It’s spring — at least officially. No, it may not look or feel like it yet. We’re still bundling up to walk streets lined with leafless trees. But soon the weather will fully shake off what was an especially cold and snowy winter, and as the temperatures rise, so will the collective spirit of this city.
There’s nothing quite like summer in Toronto. But it’s the first signs of spring that — at least to this humble and admittedly new Torontonian from the West Coast — can feel so life-affirming after a dark Ontario winter: the early buds on the trees, the re-emergence of bustling patios, the first pitch at the SkyDome. (I know it’s no longer called that.)
So to celebrate our annual defrosting, we’re asking readers to tell us their favourite thing(s) about spring in Toronto. Maybe it’s a springtime tradition or a memory of a spring gone by — whatever the case, let us know by emailing [email protected] or tell us in the comments below.
