The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in a bank robbery in Richmond on March 5.
A suspect brandishing a large knife entered a bank near the intersection of Perth Street and Shea Road shortly before 2 p.m. and demanded money. Bank staff complied and the suspect fled.
The suspect is thought to have arrived and left the scene via Shea Road driving a white Volkswagen Golf GTI, believed to be a 2022 model or newer.
The vehicle had no front licence plate.
The suspect was described as Caucasian with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie, a grey balaclava, blue jeans and black shoes with white soles and carrying a dark-coloured backpack.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have been driving on or near Shea Road between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. and may have dashcam video to contact police.
