Telus gala featuring Arkells and Steven Page raises $2.6 million for students

On June 12, the Telus Friendly Future Foundation hosted its second “Together for Tomorrow” gala, raising $2,625,000 for the Foundation’s Telus Student Bursary program. The program, the country’s largest, helps send thousands of young people in Canada to post-secondary school. Returning co-chairs Jay McCauley and Christi Himmelheber joined more than 850 guests from the country’s philanthropic, business and arts communities at the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning to enjoy performances by Arkells, Deborah Cox, Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida, Steven Page and Dragonette.
