I hope the Blue Jays know how proud and grateful we are for everything they accomplished and for who they are as people. Vladdy said, “I want it all for this city”. I hope he knows that they did, indeed, give us all. — Eva
I just want to thank the Toronto Blue Jays for an outstanding season and World Series. You were the underdogs — underdogs are always hungrier. You fought with every fibre of your beings to bring the so-called best team in baseball to their knees. It could have gone either way, but the Dodgers just got lucky. The Jays played better ball, outscored them in the series and should really be the winners. But you are the winners in all Canadians hearts. You are our team now and forever more. You all really played TEAM baseball — we can see how much you all care about each other — and all of Canada. Your future is bright and we can’t wait for next season to watch you go all the way again. I think the City of Toronto should throw a parade for you so that we can all show you our appreciation for a very exciting post season. — Judy
As an expat who grew up in California HATING the Dodgers, you guys made me proud. Sometimes the breaks just don’t go your way. Celebrate what you accomplished. It was awesome to watch. — Derek
Thank you for a phenomenal season. The team might have lost Game 7 but stole the heart of an entire nation — that is a much bigger prize. — Lara
Dear Toronto Bluejays,
Thank you thank you, over and over again! You are the real champions of this series, which you proved over and over again, night after night, with incredible skill, resilience, and heart. Yours is the performance that will be long-remembered, and we are grateful to you for it all. — Marilyn and Ray
This loss is the first time in sports that felt like a win — a city, province, country united …
Fans and strangers who became family with every game — you could feel the love and unity in the air every time the jays were at the plate or mound.
The ‘25 jays will always be a team I rally behind and tell my kids about one day. They showed us what sportsmanship, brotherhood, resilience and determination mean at a time we desperately needed that as a country. Thank you Toronto —Troy
What a pleasure it was to have something to collectively cheer about! This playoff series was like a balm for the soul. Thanks guys and see you again next year! Something to look forward to in dark times. — Deena
It was such an extraordinary series. Probably the best we will ever see because watching people pour their whole being into something that they love is always extraordinary. You made us very proud and nothing will change that. The reason there are so many “if only” thoughts are because it was so close. Because both teams were equally the best on any given night.
While many fans are heartbroken, I know it does not compare to how you feel. I hope in the months ahead you regain the perspective of the pride that you deserve to feel.
Many fans will never see a series like that and most players will certainly never play in one. Thank you for the most wonderful, extraordinary October this city has known for a long time. — Pat
I watched almost every game this year, even streaming 2 games from Ireland in September. I’ll never forget the grit and heart the guys showed over the course of the season. I’m as proud of them after the loss last night as I would have been had they won. Jays forever. — Sara
I’m not usually a sports follower, but I have thoroughly enjoyed watching our hometown team play against the Yankees, Mariners and the Dodgers. I loved the true team spirit on display and was glued to my TV throughout.
The Jays deserved to win the World Series, but the baseball gods were not on our side in the final innings of game 7. I shall look forward now to watching our team, Canada’s team, throughout spring training and into the 2026 season and post season. Our boys of summer will be triumphant next year. You made all of Canada proud. Be assured of that.
Even my friend in rural Nova Scotia who never follows sports, did for you. For that last game, her internet went down. I texted her as fast as my fingers could type the play by play as the game went on. Thank you, thank you, Blue Jays. — K
It’s hard to sum up what this Blue Jays season means to all of us, but I’ll try: today I went to the Costco in Orillia, travelling back up to North Bay after visiting friends this weekend. I can’t tell you how many people I saw wearing their Jays gear at the store the day after Game 7, in a town more than 100 km north of the Rogers Centre. Even if defeat, we still want to represent for our team. That’s how much the Jays mean to all of us.
To every member of the organization: thank you for being here. Thank you for giving us reasons to cheer. Thank you for bringing us back to October baseball. Thank you for reminding us that it’s okay to dream big. Thank you for helping us to be part of something bigger than ourselves. — Rhiannon
Dear Jays,
I’m sorry that you guys lost to the dodgers. The umps were not on point and you guys should have won it at the bottom of the 9th. And tell Hoffman to not get too down on himself he is still an amazing pitcher and shouldn’t place the loss upon himself. Next year we got it!
Go Jays —Elijah, age 12
Thank you ALL for showing The World how this game is played — with pluck and determination and grit, but also with AMAZING talent and skill and one-of-a-kind ball players I wish, oh, how I wish, played for my Cubbies! Each and every one of you is a Class Act, a Mensch, a Shining Light in my country’s Dark Times. — Esther from Chicago
This has been an amazing year with an amazing team and I wouldn’t trade any of them for all the Dodgers in the world. I can’t wait to watch them next year! — Mel
I have been a true fan since 1985, this year’s team is truly special. They took the team from the bottom of the division to almost winning the World Series while showing class and the power of friendship. Toronto and the rest of Canada is immensely proud, thanks for an incredible season! You deserve a celebration. — Deb
We have been Jays fans for many decades. Your play this year was outstanding. So much fun to watch. Love you guys, love your team. Keep the jacket. It’s awesome. — Gary
Dear Blue Jays,
Wow, what a summer and fall! From the first game I went to on July 5th to the last one on October 24th and all the ones I saw on the telly, what a wild wonderful roller coaster ride. I knew not one rule on July 5th but by last night I was discussing the various ERAs of the different pitchers. All of us have had favourite players and pitchers but please know that all of you are loved by all of us.
Thank you for all your hard work, grit and tenacity. We saw it on your faces and in your actions. We are looking forward to doing it again next year!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Hugs and love — Vanessa
I would like to express my gratitude to the Blue Jays for this 2025 season. I am only a casual fan, but this post-season had me at the edge of my seat.
They were this close to winning the whole thing. And although the final result is not what we were hoping for, their accomplishment surprised everyone and worthy of our recognition.
May this team comes back stronger and bring even more successes in the years to come! — Ming
The Jays had an exceptional inspiring season. We are all so proud of the team and all of their efforts this year. My wife started to watch baseball in the playoffs and found them to be very exciting and inspiring.
Looking forward to cheering you on next year. — John
I grew up playing little league baseball in Southern California, and was a die hardhard Angels fan. Be proud of your team — we are. All my friends in Southern California, (orange county) were pulling for Jays. Everyone up here in Wyoming too! Ya’ll made me a life long fan, game 7 and this series is what gritty real baseball looks like. I wanted to be on the field sooo bad!!! Go Canada and if ya want to ski some cowboy powder come find us or me in Jackson Hole, WY. — Mike
To the entire Blue Jays team,
Thank you for an amazing baseball season!!
You are all superstars. My entire family were watching your games with so much pride and excitement. — Jean
I would like to say thank you to every member of the Toronto Blue Jays for their amazing performance, and for giving me something to look forward to and enjoy at a time when I personally needed it. Here’s to a great season in 2026! — Devyn
Profound respect and gratitude for the Jays and their performance. At 76, I’m an ardent baseball fan for the first time. Amazing prowess and teamwork but the camaraderie that was so evident was the clincher. Jays were winners all the way! — Madeliene
I love this team! Not just a collection of solid ball players wearing the same uniform but a true TEAM of “uncommon men”. The grit, resilience, determination and “next man up” mentality was an inspiration … and likely only truly possible thanks to the power of friendship. Sure, winning it all was the ultimate goal but nothing takes away from the joy of watching the 2025 Blue Jays represent Toronto (and the pride they had being Canada’s team), who competed and gave all they had to the very end. Already looking forward to 2026! — Tracy
A big THANK YOU to the entire team of the Toronto Blue Jays. Classy, entertaining and inspiring for all Canadians. We are so fortunate to have every one of you represent our country at the World Series. You may not have won a ring but you have made a difference in so many lives. You displayed amazing characteristics in every game. — Eleanor
So proud of those guys and hope that they feel proud too. They have accomplished so much this year and the game 7 loss does not detract from their abilities and heart. — Jane
In my book, you DID win the series! We’re not going to let one final number (or play) erase the whole journey you took us on.
Yours was a magnificent display of talent, teamwork and dedication the likes of which everyone took notice (even Dodgers fans).
I think the City of Toronto should honour your achievements with a parade and other celebrations as planned so that the people of Canada can show our love and appreciation for all that you’ve done for us and for the sport of baseball.
We will never forget your names. — Michael
Dear Blue Jays,
Thank you for being so much fun to watch. Your amazing camaraderie, team spirit, perseverance and belief that you could beat anyone inspired a nation. Your exciting way to play the sport made baseball fun to watch.
You should hold your head high and proud. Thank you for an amazing season and for giving everyone hope, joy and energy.
Go Jays go! — Björn
I am one of millions of very, very proud Canadians of our Blue Jays!! — Sandi
I watched the World Series in memory of my Dad, who loved baseball above all sports. I have fond memories of watching 92/93 and many games before and after with him. He would have loved watching this team play, what an amazing job these guys did. They played with heart and fantastic skills. Nothing but gratitude for these Jays, what a lineup of gentlemen athletes. — Anne
