Toronto police have identified a man who died in hospital after he was found with severe injuries in the Annex early Sunday morning.
Darapheakdey “Daral” Sovann, 27, of Toronto, has been declared the city’s first homicide victim of 2025, but it’s still unclear exactly what happened to him.
He was found in the Bloor Street West and Madison Avenue area on Sunday at around 12:36 a.m. with what police described as a “wounding.”
Investigators have not yet elaborated on exactly how he was injured, but say they are searching for three people who were involved in the incident.
