A Toronto police officer has died while on duty Thursday morning.
Toronto police say they are currently in the process of notifying the family.
It’s unknown at this point how the officer died, but Toronto police say preliminary information suggests the cause of death may be medical.
The officer has not been identified.
“Our heartfelt thoughts are with the officer’s loved ones, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time,” read the statement.
