Toronto Police have charged a 43-year-old Toronto woman after she allegedly broke into a Parkdale apartment and stabbed a resident multiple times.
Officers were called to the Queen Street West and Beaty Avenue area on December 27, 2024, just after 3:30 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.
Investigators say the suspect broke into an apartment unit and stabbed the victim multiple times before running off in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, police arrested a suspect in the case.
Meagan Coote is facing numerous charges including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter and uttering threats, among others.
