Has there ever been a president who seemed to be as miserable being president as President Donald Trump?
I mean, he won his election, embarked on his agenda to make white nationalism great again, and he bathes daily in the white-tearsy adoration of his cult-like, reality-denying MAGA base. Yet, for some reason, this nearly 80-year-old man regularly finds himself up late at night, and sometimes in the wee hours of the morning, rage-posting on his absurdly named “Truth” Social” platform over very negative word said about him by people who are not fond of a boorish, bloviating man-child of a commander-in-chief who treats the Constitution like it’s optional.
For example, shortly after 1:30 am on Monday, Trump was online blowing a digital gasket over Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bruce Springsteen, who said during a performance in the United Kingdom last week that Trump is an “unfit president” and that the United States “is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration” — all things that are observably true if you’re not a MAGA rube who takes easily debunked lies at face value so long as they’re spewed from the sphincter-shaped mouth of their crotchety-ass messiah.
Anyway, Trump is very upset at Springsteen. Also, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé — for some reason, Springsteen’s impromptu diss track against Trump inspired the latter to start collecting random Black women to hate on. This also includes his opponent in the presidential race that he won last November, former Vice President Kamala Harris, who was somewhere minding her business when the guy who has occupied the White House (or a golf course nowhere near the Oval Office) for five months now baselessly called for an investigation into the aforementioned recording artists over “illegal campaign contributions” to Harris’ campaign. (Again, does Trump not realize he has already won the presidency?)
“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?” the commander-in-cap wrote in all caps. “WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic ‘entertainers,’ this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system.”
So, the sitting president who literally staged a Tesla infomercial in front of the White House just to help pull Elon Musk out of the fire as Tesla stocks were plummeting is out here pretending to have ethics and legality concerns regarding how politicians abuse their position by colluding with celebrities quid pro quo style as part of some political agenda. (Side note: I’m convinced Trump only included Bono because he was already going at three Black women and only one white man, so he had to add in another white male rocker to even things out. It’s like DEI but for white supremacy denial purposes.)
Also, why is Trump still out here whining and lying about Harris’ crowd sizes during the presidential campaign, that — and I’m just going to go ahead and switch to all-caps here — HE ALREADY WON SEVERAL MONTHS AGO! When have we ever witnessed a so-called winner being this insecure even after a victory?
Anyway, Trump’s allegations against Harris, Oprah and Beyoncé are just as baseless and evidence-deficient as they were when he raised them several times in the past, and they’ve been addressed and denied by his targets, which, again, he just appears to be choosing at random at this point.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that celebrities were paid to endorse Harris, but those figures have denied it.
Winfrey, for example, said she was “not paid a dime” and that the $1 million paid to her Harpo Productions was the cost of production for the event, including equipment and workers.
The Harris campaign told Variety that they are legally required to pay for all such costs and services.
Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, similarly said the superstar entertainer “did not receive a penny” and in fact traveled to a Harris event at her own expense.
Again, Trump has never presented a sliver of tangible evidence to back his claims (per usual), but that doesn’t matter because none of this is about “illegal” campaign contributions — it’s about a miserable president whose miserably fragile ego can’t take being publicly criticized, which is an unfortunate mentality to have for the president who had the lowest 100-day mark approval rating of any president in the better part of a century.

Trump is no lion. He’s an angry house cat putting himself through sleepless nights and ego-driven anxiety, all because he can’t stop obsessing over every public criticism of the so-called “sheep” — who are mostly just telling the truth about him.
