Over the weekend shadow president and resident White House immigrant, Elon Musk, sent federal workers an email noting that they needed to reply noting everything they’d done in the past week and if they didn’t comply they would be out.

“Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week,” Musk wrote on X Saturday.

What Musk was really asking for was a CliffNotes version of federal workers jobs since he didn’t have time to actually find out what the federal government does. If workers didn’t reply their noncompliance would be considered their resignation.

“Please reply to this email with approx. 5 bullet points of what you accomplished last week and cc your manager. Please do not send any classified information, links or attachments,” said the email, The Hill reports. “Deadline is Monday at 11:59pmEST.”

And because the actual president and Russia’s BFF didn’t have anything better to do, he sent out a SpongeBob meme mocking those people possibly losing their jobs because America is no longer a serious place.

On some off-brand social media site called “Truth Social” the president of Florida and Texas and other places that but really large tires on really small pickup trucks shared an image of SpongeBob working off of a to-do list with a heading that reads, “Got Done Last Week,” and includes such items as: “Cried about Trump,” “Cried about Elon,” “Made it into the office for once,” “Read some emails” and “Cried about Trump and Elon some more.”

We used to be a proper country. We used to be respected throughout the world. And now the president of the United States of Alabama has time to push SpongeBob memes on social media mocking people possibly losing their jobs because nothing says “presidential” like trolling people from the highest office in the land.

But there is still a ray of light if you look hard enough to find it.

Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.) took to X to bash Musk for being…well, I’ll let her explain it.

“This is the ultimate d‑‑‑ boss move from Musk – except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a d‑‑‑” the Minnesota democrat said.

“I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss – there’s an email in your inbox on Saturday night saying, ‘Prove to me your worthiness by Monday or else,’” Smith added in a second post. “I’m on the side of the workers, not the billionaire a‑‑hole bosses.”

Welcome to Gotham City. The Joker runs the country.
