In his latest attempt to Make America White Again, President Trump is now looking to pay $1,000 to immigrants in the United States illegally to leave and go back to their home country.

Yes, the president wants to take taxpayer money to pay for those immigrants who entered the country illegally to bounce because nothing says tough on immigration like bribery.

This is all a part of President Trump’s mass deportation plan, and yes, the $1,000 is an addition to travel assistance by the Department of Homeland Security. Apparently there is an app called CBP Home that allows illegal immigrants to inform the government of their plans to return to their home country and that deprioritizes them from being detained by immigration officers.

“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest,” Secretary Kristi Noem said, the Associated Press reports.

“DHS is now offering illegal aliens financial travel assistance and a stipend to return to their home country through the CBP Home App.”

According to AP, one immigrant has already had their plane ticket booked to take them from Chicago back to Honduras and more are reportedly upcoming.

From AP:

Trump made immigration enforcement and the mass deportation of immigrants in the United States illegally a centerpiece of his campaign, and he is following through during the first months of his administration. But it is a costly, resource-intensive endeavor.

While the Republican administration is asking Congress for a massive increase in resources for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department responsible for removing people from the country, it’s also pushing people in the country illegally to “self-deport.”

It has coupled this self-deportation push with television ads threatening action against people in the U.S. illegally and social media images showing immigration enforcement arrests and migrants being sent to a prison in El Salvador.

The Trump administration has often portrayed self-deportation as a way for migrants to preserve their ability to return to the United States someday, and the president himself suggested it on Monday while speaking to reporters at the White House. He said immigrants who “self-deport” and leave the U.S. might have a chance to return legally eventually “if they’re good people” and “love our country.”

“And if they aren’t, they won’t,” Trump said.

Let me say this clearly for those in the back: Donald Trump is a lying-ass liar. If you self-deport, no matter how much of a “good person” you are, you aren’t going to be welcomed back. The Trump administration has made it a pillar of this presidency to deport everyone who doesn’t look like them.

And get this, the app that they’re using, CBP Home, well it used to be called CBP One and it was created by the Biden administration to “allow nearly 1 million migrants to schedule appointments to enter the country,” AP notes. But the Trump administration flipped that and are now using it for illegal immigrants to self deport.

Let’s be clear, this is about money. According to the Department of Homeland Security, it costs some $17,000 to arrest, detain and then remove someone from the U.S., so giving them a grand and buying them a plane ticket is much easier on the White House. Voluntary returns don’t need government-to-government negotiations or courtroom dramas, not that the Trump administration cares about the judicial system.

All of this is just another ploy by the Trump administration to continue their white supremacist oligarchy, which is honestly just sickening at this point.
