Provincial police have arrested two suspects in connection with a pair of home invasion robberies in South Stormont and Cardinal in March.
The robberies occurred March 6.
In the first, two men forced their way into a residential trailer on Rombough Road in South Stormont Township. The lone resident suffered minor injuries and the suspects fled in a vehicle.
Later that evening, OPP responded to a home invasion at a residence on Benson Street in Cardinal. Once again, two men forced their way inside, leaving the lone resident with non-life-threatening injuries. The individuals fled in a black pickup truck.
On Thursday, Lucas Stewart, 34 of South Dundas, and Shane Albert-Pichette, 41, of North Dundas, were arrested and charged with two counts each of:
- Assault with a weapon;
- Break, enter a place — commit indictable offence;
- And uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The accused were held in custody and scheduled to appear in court in Brockville on March 25.
