Two drivers have died following a head-on collision Wednesday night on Highway 28 in Denbigh, east of Bancroft.
Police said the crash occurred near Trout Lake Road just before 8 p.m.
Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no passengers.
The victims’ identities have not been confirmed.
Affected roads in the area were reopened Thursday morning.
Highway 28 remained closed overnight for the on-scene investigation and reopened at approximately 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Denbigh is about 160 km west of Ottawa.
