Two males wanted for bank card theft from elderly victims in Durham

Durham Regional Police are looking for two males they say stole several bank cards from elderly victims.

According to the police, the two males allegedly would watch someone use an ATM in a bank vestibule. One male would allegedly distract the victim by saying they found cash the victim had dropped on the ground. While this was playing out, the second suspect would allegedly steal the victim’s debit card.

Police say the males would allegedly withdraw cash and spend it. Police allege this happened between March and July 2024.

Police are asking that anyone with cellphone, dashcam, surveillance footage or information about the incidents reach out to them at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2528 or anonymously to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
