The Ottawa Police Service is requesting public aid in identifying two women it says were involved in an assault on Cumberland Street in the ByWard Market earlier this month.
A news release on Tuesday said officers reported to reports of a disturbance outside a restaurant in the 400 block of Cumberland at about 8:15 a.m. on June 3. The suspects reported shoved and punched a victim before leaving the area on foot.
The victim had minor injuries, the police news release said.
Both suspects were described as approximately 30 years of age.
One was of short stature with a thin build and dark hair worn in a ponytail. At the time of the incident, she wore dark pants, a pink shirt with a dark star on the front, a black coat and brown loafers. She was carrying a small brown backpack.
The second woman was also of short stature and a thin building, but with curly red hair. At the time, she wore jeans, a black crop top, a dark green jacket and a black baseball cap with a Nike logo on the front left as well as brown three-inch boots. She was carrying a black purse.
