From scary movie characters to internet memes and more — stars brought out their spooky spirits on Halloween. Here are some of our favourite celebrity costumes.
Heidi Klum as E.T.
Heidi Klum is known for going all out to celebrate, and at her 23rd annual Halloween party the German-American model dressed up as E.T. with blond hair and a bowler hat. If you’re not quite sure where Klum’s face is, look closely at E.T.‘s neck and you’ll spot her eyes.
Janelle Monáe as E.T.
American singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe also donned head-to-toe prosthetics to look almost identical to the 1982 film’s beloved extraterrestrial.
Perrie Edwards and her son as Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars
These costumes were not only a homage to the cover art of 2024’s longest-reigning song, “Die with a Smile,” but they also made up one of the most adorable Halloween looks. English singer Perrie Edwards dressed up as Lady Gaga, while her son, Axel, stood on a chair and accompanied Mom as Bruno Mars.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco as Alice and the Mad Hatter
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco co-ordinated their Halloween costumes like many couples do on the scariest day of the year. Gomez wore a pale blue chiffon dress and a blond wig to replicate Alice in Wonderland, while her beau wore white face paint, a curly red wig and a top hat in his Mad Hatter guise.
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Emily the Corpse Bride
She nailed her look as Raven from Teen Titans earlier in October, but Mississauga-born actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan had a bigger surprise for Halloween, dressing as Emily from Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride.”
Liz Gillies as Longlegs
American actor and singer Liz Gillies dressed to kill as Longlegs, the satanic serial killer from the 2024 horror film of the same name.
Victoria Monét as Michael Jackson in ‘Thriller’
American singer-songwriter Victoria Monét brought the zombified Michael Jackson to life, from the red leather jacket, down to the piercing yellow-green contact lenses.
Christina Aguilera as Bram Stoker’s Dracula
After teasing her Halloween costume the day before, Christina Aguilera revealed images of her killer look as Dracula from the 1992 gothic horror film. With white contact lenses, fangs and fake blood, the superstar singer had one of the scariest celeb looks of the night.
Ed Sheeran as the AI meme of himself
Ed Sheeran donned a monkey costume that looked almost exactly like the AI image of him that has been circulating on social media as a meme. “Haters will say its AI,” the English singer-songwriter (ungrammatically) wrote in a post on Instagram.
Khalid as Brock from Pokémon
Singer-songwriter Khalid tapped into nostalgia by going as Brock, a character from Pokémon. It’s a simple costume, but anyone who watched the animated series would know right away whom he was channelling.
Chlöe Bailey as Jessica Rabbit
The red sparkly dress, long purple gloves and red hair — Chlöe Bailey’s costume conjured a perfect Jessica Rabbit from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
