Woman, 36, listed as missing person by Ottawa police

The Ottawa Police Service is calling for public assistance in locating a 36-year-old woman.

Nicole Shanks was last seen on Stittsville Main Street at about 7 a.m. on Sept. 2, a news release Friday said, adding that she could be in the area of Ladysmith, Que., and that she was known to travel by soliciting rides from passing vehicles.

The Sept. 12 release also described Shanks as a White woman standing five feet seven inches tall and having light brown or blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone seeing her was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service immediately at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300.
