A 58-year-old Ottawa woman was charged after 25,000 unmarked cigarettes were seized in a raid in the ByWard Market on Oct. 29.
Ottawa police officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash at the Rideau Street residence.
In a release, police said the raid and arrest follows “previous seizures involving the same person.”
The latest raid brings the total number of unmarked cigarettes seized by Ottawa police to approximately 90,000.
