A woman was transported to hospital in serious, but stable condition after reportedly being stabbed multiple times in the Lowertown neighbourhood on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson said the Ottawa Paramedic Service was called to the scene near the intersection of St. Patrick and Cumberland streets, slightly north of the ByWard Market, just after 3 p.m.
The Ottawa Police Service posted social-media notices about road closures in the area, but those appeared to be have ended before 5 p.m.
