Toronto Police have arrested a suspect in an Etobicoke shooting that left the victim with life-altering injuries.
Investigators say the victim and suspect got into a verbal argument in front of a residence in the Kipling Avenue and Steeles Avenue West area on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at around 1:40 a.m.
During the dispute, police say the suspect pulled out a gun and fired it, striking the victim.
The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, was taken to hospital and treated for life-altering injuries.
The suspect fled in a vehicle. Investigators say the suspect and victim were known to each other.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, police arrested Magaljan Perinbanathan, 33, of Woodbridge.
His charges include discharge firearm with intent, possession of a loaded firearms, occupy motor vehicle with firearm, and fail to comply with release order.
