A male victim is in life‑threatening condition and three people are under arrest after an officer‑involved shooting in Mississauga overnight, prompting a response from Toronto police, Peel police and Ontario’s police watchdog.
Officers were in the area of Council Ring Road and The Collegeway near Winston Churchill Boulevard around 12:22 a.m. on Thursday conducting an investigation when the shooting occurred.
Police confirm one male suffered life‑threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. Three people were taken into custody at the scene. A second male was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators say no suspects are outstanding, and the situation is contained.
