Well, the Winterlude wheel is a completely different beast. Firstly, its diminutive size was no optical illusion. The snow slides are bigger than usual because of all the snow this winter, while the wheel is on slightly lower ground. And it’s only 15 metres high, which is puny for a ferris wheel. For the sake of comparison, the biggest wheel in the country is Montreal’s La Grand Roue, a 60-metre-high, year-round attraction with gondola seating.
